Fire System Testing

To test your system, follow the instructions below:

VRT Automated Testing

A fully automated service enabling you to set tests, retrieve results and close tests without the need to speak directly to an operator.

1. Contact the Smart Test Line on 0844 879 1706 (note: charges may apply)
2. When prompted, enter your unique user number (CS number) then #
3. When prompted, enter your passcode pin. This is the last 4 digits of your CS number then #

This test is now active for 60 minutes.

To extend the test period or to remove your system from test, repeat steps 1-3 and select the option to extend or remove. Extensions are available for a further 4 hours.

12-hour automated testing is also available if 1 hour is not sufficient.

VRT Using Alphanumeric Characters

If your CS number contains letters, please use the below codes to replace each letter, e.g., TA1234 would be *81*21 1234

Fire Testing Schedule

If your fire test is conducted at the same time and on the same day each week, a Fire Test Schedule can be utilised whereby fire alarms are ignored for a set period on your nominated day each week.

This negates the need to call and speak to an operator each week prior to conducting the test, providing the test is within the scheduled times.

Please contact your installer if a Fire Test Schedule would be beneficial.
