Since 1988, SMC has provided reliable, professional monitoring services for homes, businesses, and public infrastructure across the UK and Ireland. We began as a focused monitoring provider and have grown into a nationally recognised Alarm Receiving Centre, working with thousands of fire and security installers to protect nearly 200,000 sites.
In 2020, we became part of the APi Group, a global, purpose-driven organisation supporting life safety, security, and critical infrastructure through a network of leading brands. This partnership strengthens our capabilities, gives us access to shared expertise, and ensures we continue to grow with the needs of the industry.

Today, SMC operates from a state-of-the-art, NSI Gold-approved monitoring centre in Nottingham. We work with over 1,000 fire and security installers, providing advanced monitoring services that help them grow their businesses, reduce false alarms, and deliver greater value to their end users.
